About George

George knows what it is to be a victim of crime. While a police officer, George was assaulted, shot at, and had his life threatened. He also lost a loved one to crime. In 1988, George's grandmother was struck and killed instantly by a drunk driver who then fled the scene. The 19-year old thug, Richard Eric Watson, had been released from a Florida prison a few months earlier after serving only 2 1/2 years of a 7-year sentence for manslaughter. Watson had a long history of criminal convictions yet was released early only to kill again. Watson should have been behind bars instead of behind the wheel.
